Precautionary Measures: East Coast Railway Cancels 42 Trains, Issues Helpline Numbers

Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railways cancelled 42 trains, diverted two, and short-terminated or short-originated five others as precautionary measures in view of the approaching Cyclone ‘Montha’. The railways have taken these steps to ensure the safety of passengers and train operations. Additionally, 8 trains have been rescheduled.

The cancellations and diversions are aimed at minimizing disruptions and ensuring passenger safety during the cyclone period.

Passengers are advised to check the latest train status before commencing their journey and avoid unnecessary travel during the cyclone period.

According to the release issued by the EcoR, one of the important trains cancelled today is the 11020 Konark Express. Passengers are advised to check the latest train status before commencing their journey and to avoid unnecessary travel during the cyclone period.

To assist passengers, Help Desks have been set up at key stations, including Palasa, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Duvvada, and Rayagada. These help desks will provide necessary assistance to passengers and help them with their queries.

In case of any queries or emergencies, passengers can contact the help line numbers provided by the railway authorities.
