Balasore: A woman from Bihar has levelled allegations of abandonment post-marriage and pregnancy against a Soro-based youth. According to the woman, they were married in Hyderabad, while working at a hotel together.
The 22-year-old woman, the two fell in love with each other and got married in December, 2022.. However, a few days back, the youth left for home from Hyderabad without informing her.
Despite her repeated attempts, she could not contact him over phone nor Abinash called her. She also alleged in the complaint that while leaving, Abinash had taken away her laptop, mobile phone, jewellery and Rs 60,000 in cash.
Since she knew that her husband belonged to Soro, she came to the place to seek police help to trace him.
The youth belongs to Sabira village under Soro police limits. The police have registered a case and started an investigation to locate Abinash. They have sent the woman to a shelter home, the police said.
