Bhubaneswar: The body of a pregnant woman who went missing in the Janjavati river in Narayanpatna of Koraput district was fished out today.
The ODRAF team retrieved the body from the river in Narayanpatna block of Koraput district.
The 5-year-old girl who also went missing along with her mother remains untraced. The ODRAF team continues its search to find her out.
A pregnant woman, identified as Moti Tadingi along with her five-year-old daughter were washed away in the Janjavati river on Saturday.
Moti Tadingi, wife of Rama Tadingi belongs to Dockari Ghati village under Narayanapatna police station.
The tragic incident occurred when the woman was attempting to cross the river for defecation. Locals found the clothes and slippers on the river bund and suspected that they might be washed away.
The local fire brigade team and ODRAF launched a search operation.
