Bhubaneswar: President of India Droupadi Murmu will visit her hometown in Mayurbhanj district from December 3 to 7. She arrives at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar on December 3, followed by engagements in Bhubaneswar and Puri.
During her stay, President Murmu will connect with locals, visit significant sites, and inaugurate key infrastructure projects.
As per her itinerary, she will arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar on December 3 and attend various programmes in Bhubaneswar and Puri.
On December 6, President Murmu will arrive at Rairangpur via a special helicopter from Kolkata’s Defense Airbase. She will visit Upperbeda Government High School, where she studied, and interact with students and teachers. Later, she will have lunch at her residence in Rairangpur and inaugurate an ambulance at the local hospital.
President Murmu will also visit Rairangpur Women’s College and interact with students and faculty, followed by offering prayers at the Puneswar Mahadev Temple. She will halt for the night at her Rairangpur residence.
The next day, President Murmu will meet with locals in the morning before departing for Bangiriposhi Airport. She will inaugurate three new railway lines – Bangiriposhi-Gorumahisani, Buramara-Chakulia, and Badampahar-Keonjhar Road – and lay foundation stones for the Tribal Research Centre, Bangiriposhi Airport, and Upgraded Hospital via video conferencing. Finally, she will return to Delhi via a special flight from Kolkata’s Defense Airbase.
