Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu arrived at Biju Patnaik Airport in Bhubaneswar today via a special Air Force flight, receiving a rousing welcome. Later, she visited Niladri Vihar in Chandrasekharpur, where she was greeted by Governor Raghubar Das, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singhdeo and Parvati Parida, and Culture Minister Suraj Suryabansi Suraj, amidst tight security.
She offered prayers at the tribal religious Santali Peeth at Niladri Vihar and unveiled the full-bust statue of Pandit Raghunath Murmu. The President also visited a nearby park, engaging with local intellectuals. After the event, she returned to Raj Bhavan for a night halt.
Tomorrow, President Murmu is scheduled to visit Puri, landing at Puri Talabania Helipad at 9:45 am. From there, she will proceed to Shree Jagannath Temple for darshan. Later, she will attend the 75th annual festival of Puri Gopabandhu Ayurveda College. At 3:55 pm, she will participate as the chief guest in the Navy Day ceremony on the beach.
