Bhubaneswar: Thirty-three of the 1,132 Police, Fire Service, Home Guard & Civil Defence, and Correctional Service personnel, awarded Gallantry/Service Medals, are from Odisha.
Santosh Bala, special secretary to the Odisha Home Department, and Constable Sanjukta Pattnaik will receive the prestigious President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) this Republic Day. In addition, Jyoti Ranjan Mahapatra, a Civil Defence volunteer, will also receive the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service.
