Bhubaneswar: Senior Odisha-cadre IPS officer, Dhirendra Sambhaji Kutey received the prestigious President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPM) ahead of the 74th Republic Day Celebrations.
A total 93 police personnel received the PPM which is awarded for outstanding service in the police force. Kutey, an Additional DGP ranked officer, is posted in Odisha Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) as Special Secretary.
Apart from Kutey, the 1997-batch IPS officer, Prahallad Rout, a Constable posted in the Vigilance Directorate, Cuttack also received the PPM on Wednesday.
The President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service is awarded for special distinguished record in Police Service.
