Bhubaneswar: The President of India Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday wished the people on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.
“My heartiest greetings to all the countrymen on the occasion of Lohri, Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Magh Bihu, and Uttarayan,” the President wrote on her X handle, adding, “All these festivals related to agriculture are living forms of our traditions of respecting nature.”
She further wrote, “I wish that these festivals continue to spread love and harmony among the countrymen. I wish the countrymen a prosperous and bright future.”
“Many best wishes for Makar Sankranti, the holy festival associated with the sacred tradition of meditation, meditation, and charity. On this festival of nature, I wish Uttarayan Sun God to provide happiness, prosperity, good fortune, and good health to all my family members of the country,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on his X handle.
Taking to his X handle, the Odisha Chief Minister wrote, “Heartiest greetings and congratulations on the occasion of the holy Makar Sankranti. May everyone’s life be filled with happiness and prosperity by the grace of Lord Shri Jagannath.”
