Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik and several others from the political spectrum in Odisha expressed deep condolences over the demise of former Minister Ananta Das.
“Saddened to learn about the passing of Shri Anant Das, who served as a minister in the Odisha government. He worked for the people of Odisha. My condolences to his family, friends, and followers,” President Murmu posted on X.

Chief Minister Majhi also condoled the demise of former Minister Ananta Das. As a minister and MLA, he made significant contributions to the development of the state and the Balasore region. With his demise, the state has lost a dedicated public servant. “I pray for the eternal peace of his soul and express my condolences to the bereaved family,” Majhi stated on X.

Similarly, Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik also expressed grief over the demise of Das. Patnaik extended his condolences to the bereaved family in this hour of grief and prayed for the eternal peace of his soul. The Opposition leader stated that Das’ long service to the people as a public representative will always be remembered.
