Puri: President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Puri on October 24 to attend the golden jubilee ceremony of Gopabandhu Ayurveda College. During her visit, the President will also pay homage to Lord Jagannath at the temple.
In preparation for the President’s visit, Puri SP Vinit Agarwal reviewed security arrangements at Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya. The President’s program is scheduled to last 50 minutes, and upon arrival at Talabania helipad, the President will proceed to Gopbandhu Ayurveda College to grace the golden jubilee ceremony.
The ceremony will be attended by dignitaries, including the Union Education Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, State Health Minister, and Puri MP. The event will feature the unveiling of souvenirs and felicitation of distinguished alumni who have achieved national and international recognition.
In collaboration with the Union Ministry of Ayush, an Ayurveda festival will be held, featuring seminars on ancient and modern Ayurveda, free health check-ups, exhibitions, and cultural programs.
A Chhattisha Nijoga meeting is scheduled for October 18 to discuss the President’s visit to the temple.
