Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Odisha on December 4 to take part in the Indian Navy Day event as chief guest in Puri, a Navy spokesperson said in a statement.
The Indian Navy is set to showcase its impressive maritime capabilities and operational strength on December 4 at the Blue Flag Beach in Puri, coinciding with Navy Day.
The event, known as the Operational Demonstration or Op Demo, will highlight the Navy’s multifaceted competencies, promote maritime awareness among citizens, and pay tribute to India’s rich seafaring heritage.
President Droupadi Murmu has graciously agreed to attend the event as the chief guest. The Op Demo is particularly significant as it symbolizes the connection between the Indian Navy and Odisha’s maritime legacy, showcasing the state’s importance in the country’s naval history.
