Prez, PM, Odisha CM Pay Tributes To Netaji On His 125th Birth Anniversary

Bhubaneswar: President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik paid tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 125th birth anniversary on Saturday.

Taking to Twitter, Kovind said, “Tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as the entire nation celebrates his 125th birth anniversary. To pay homage to his infinite courage and heroism, observing the day as Parakram Diwas (Bravery Day) is justified. Netaji had forged a sense of nationalism among his countless followers”

The President added, “Netaji is one of our most beloved national heroes who has made an invaluable contribution to India’s struggle for independence. Netaji’s patriotism and sacrifice will always enlighten us. We are committed to the commitment he has made to freedom.”

Modi also took to the microblogging site stating, “Tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, a great freedom fighter and true son of Mother India, on his birth anniversary. A grateful nation will always remember his sacrifice and dedication for the independence of the country.”

Likewise, Patnaik tweeted, “Tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, brave son of Odisha and great freedom fighter, on his birth anniversary. His strong self-confidence, unique ideas and dedication to the country have always been inspiring.”
