Puri: Pramod Kumar Mishra, the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Jagannath temple in Puri on Friday night.
Mishra offered prayers to the Trinity and held discussions with the officials about the Parikrama project. Following his darshan, the district administration felicitated Mishra. He also partook Mahaprasad before leaving the temple.
Mishra reviewed the Parikrama project and talked to a few devotees during his visit. Srimandir chief administrator, district collector and superintendent of police among others accompanied Mishra during his visit.
Talking to mediapersons following his visit, Mishra expressed his contentment on the overall development of Srimandir. “I visited Jagannath temple after a long time. The temple has undergone major facelift over the years. Many developmental activities have been carried out for the convenience of devotees.”
