Bhubaneswar: Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Dr. P.K. Mishra, arrived in Jharsuguda on Thursday evening after facing a delay due to technical issues with his flight. Initially scheduled to land at Jharsuguda airport at 2:45 pm, the flight was diverted to Bhubaneswar due to runway problems.
Dr. Mishra eventually reached Jharsuguda at 7:15 pm after taking the flight from Bhubaneswar, which departed at around 6:30 pm. Upon arrival, he was welcomed by senior officials, including the RDC (Northern range), IG, Jharsuguda Collector, and SP.
After arriving in Jharsuguda, Dr. Mishra left for Sambalpur, where he will stay overnight. Tomorrow, he is scheduled to attend the IIM convocation as the chief guest. Apart from this, he is expected to have some official programs.
The Jharsuguda police had tightened security arrangements for Dr. Mishra’s visit. As a 1972-batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre, Dr. Mishra has been serving under Prime Minister Narendra Modi since September 11, 2019.
