Bhubaneswar: Prof (Dr) Anand Pradhan has been appointed as the regional director of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC)-Dhenkanal with immediate effect and until further orders.
Prof Pradhan has been transferred to IIMC- Dhenkanal after the sitting regional director Prof Mrinal Chatterjee is going on sabbatical leave from July 2024, a notification issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said.
“He shall take over charge of Regional Director, IIMC Dhenkanal from Prof Mrinal Chatterjee, who is proceeding on sabbatical leave w.e.f. July 2024,” the notification read.
Prof. Pradhan will submit his joining report to DG, IIMC by June 21, 2024
In addition, Prof (Dr) Anand Pradhan will continue to serve as the HoD, the Department of Media and Communication Governance.
He will also work on the development of the syllabus for the MA Programme in Media and Communication Governance that may be launched from the academic session 2025-26.
