Bhadrak: The district administration has clamped a prohibitory order under section 163 of BNSS in Godipokhari village and surrounding areas under Dhusuri police station following a group clash in the region.
The order, effective from 2 PM of September 19 to 10 PM of September 21, prohibits unlawful gatherings.
The local police have been directed to announce the promulgation of section 163 through loudspeaker in the region and take necessary action to disperse the mob, who will create disturbance in the proceeding area, stated a notification issued by the Office of the Sub Collector and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Bhadrak.
The decision was made in apprehension of a breach of peace leading to law and order situation. Local authorities have been directed to take necessary steps to maintain law and order and disperse any mobs that may gather.
The clash erupted after a group of people belonging to one community tore the flag of another community.
Four persons were injured, one of them critically, in the clash. The critically injured has been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
Police have arrested three persons allegedly involved in the clash.
