Bhubaneswar: Job aspirants staged a protest and mobbed the office of the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) in the state capital alleging widespread corruption in the recruitment process for various Group-C posts.
The agitators claimed that several underperforming students had mysteriously made it to the merit list of the Combined Examination Group-C results. They also alleged that written examinations for posts like Forester, Forest Guard, and Livestock Inspector were being sold in Odisha.
The aspirants expressed frustration over the lack of transparency in the recruitment process, citing that normalized marks had not been released and no investigation had been conducted by the OSSSC. They urged the Odisha government to take immediate action and cancel the exams for Forester and other posts.
“Though the OSSSC declared the results, we have not received marks after normalisation. Thus, we demand the immediate intervention of the Odisha government into it and take necessary action regarding the cancellation of the forester and other exams, alleged a protesting student.
