Bhubaneswar: The public grievance hearing scheduled for August 19 and August 26 will not be held due to government holidays, informed Department of General Administration and Public Grievance on Friday.
The new dates for the public grievance hearing will be announced soon through newspapers and public notice, the department said.
According to sources, the government has decided to cancel the public hearing on August 19 and August 26 considering the significance of Rakhi Purnima on August 19 and Janmashtami on August 26. Rakhi Purnima, a festival celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters, and Janmashtami, the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, are significant holidays in Odisha.
It is pertinent to mention that the Chief Minister’s public grievance hearing began on July 1 and is being conducted every Monday.
However, the grievance cell remained closed for two weeks last month for the CM’s visit to the New Delhi and Odisha assembly session.
