Bhubaneswar: As the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) have come into force with immediate effect with the announcement of poll schedule, the public grievances conducted by the Collectors and SPs on Monday have been adjourned till end of the poll process.
Odisha Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena wrote to all the Collectors and Superintendents of Police in this regard. Jena asked the officers to treat it as extremely urgent.
The schedule for the General Elections to Lok Sabha and Odisha Vidhan Sabha was declared by the Election Commission of India on Saturday. The Model Code of Conduct (MCC) have come into force with immediate effect and will be in force till the completion of General Elections and simultaneous Assembly Elections, 2024.
Odisha will go to polls in four phases beginning May 13. Voting for Assembly and Lok Sabha constituency will be held in the State simultaneously.
