Puri Admin Imposes Traffic Restrictions For Holy Trinity’s Suna Besha

Puri: The Puri district administration has imposed specific traffic restrictions in the Holy City in view of the rush of devotees to witness the Suna Besha of Lord Jagannath and His sibling deities on Thursday. At the same time, various parking zones have been identified to control the influx of lakhs of devotees.

Here are the details of traffic restrictions and parking spots:

All the light vehicles coming from Bhubaneswar on NH-316 will be diverted from Malatipatapur via ROB, Nilachal Link, Toshali Chhak, Grid Station Chhak, and Bhudan Chhak, while they will need to part at parking lots in the ITI, Indoor Stadium, Helipad, and Sanskrit University Car Parking.

The exit route for light vehicles from Talabania is via ITI, Central School, Bhudan, Grid Station, Balighat, New Nabakalebar Road, Biraharekrushnapur, and NH- 316.

All the two-wheelers coming from Bhubaneswar on NH-316 will enter Puri via Malatipatapur, Batagaon, and New NH bypass up to Mangalaghat and park at Jagannath Ballav, and Matitota Parking.

Vehicles having passes will enter via Malatipatapur, Batagaon, Mangalaghat, Sterling, Hans Cocopalm, Lokanath Road, and park at Gadadhar High School, Chapan Chhak, Yatrika and Nali Field Parking (Baliapanda). They will return following the same route.

Light vehicles coming from Konark will park at Talabania. Two-wheelers coming from Konark will park at Blue Flag Beach via Grid Station, ITI, City Road, and Subash Bose Chhak. They will also return following the same route.

Regular Passenger buses will ply to Talabania bus stand according to the mobility plan.
