Puri: Hockey fever has gripped Odisha as the 2023 Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup is to be hosted in the State. While preparations are in full swing in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela, the pilgrim city of Puri has not been left out.
Artist Maheswar Maharana of Puri has been given the task of building giant hockey sticks to mark the event. With much effort and dedication, he and his team have made 16 hockey sticks. The height of each is 22 feet.
