Bhubaneswar: In a significant upgrade for commuters, the Puri-Bangiriposi-Puri Super-Fast Express has transitioned to modern Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) coaches. The inaugural run with the new coaches commenced from Bangiriposi station on April 28.
According to a release issued by the Railways authorities, the train’s regular service with LHB coaches will begin from Puri on April 29, 2025, and from Bangiriposi on April 30, 2025. The upgraded train composition includes one AC Chair Car, six reserved Second Class Seating coaches, five general Second Class Seating coaches, one Guard cum Motor Car, and one Guard cum Second Class Seating coach for Divyangjan.
The occasion was graced by dignitaries including Naba Charan Majhi, Mayurbhanj Lok Sabha MP, Rajya Sabha MP Mamata Mohanta, Bangriposi MLA Sanjali Murmu and Saraskana MLA Bhadav Hansdah.
