Bhubaneswar: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today laid the foundation stone of a development project worth Rs 100 core at Central Sanskrit University in Puri.
While inaugurating the 3-day International Seminar on Lakshmi Purana at the Sanskrit University, Pradhan laid the foundation stone for an eight-storey administrative and academic building, five-storey women’s hostel building with 300 capacity and 5-storey guest house with a gens hostel.
The seminar will discuss how to build a healthy society by rising above the caste system. The main objective of the program is to empower women through devotion, worship, and prayer, Pradhan said.
In the morning, the minister visited the Shree Jagannath temple and offered prayers to the trinity. He also inspected the ongoing works of Nata Mandap.
