Puri: Collector Samarth Verma on Saturday inaugurated the renovated Swargadwar cremation ground in Puri.
Reportedly, the Government has spent around Rs 6.3 crore for the beautification of Swargadwar and its surroundings.
The crematorium at Swargadwar has been made of precast concrete. A total of 28 cremations can be conducted at the crematorium at a time.
While greenery has been established in the surroundings, special arrangements have been made for environmental balance during cremation.
The Swargadwar has been built in the framework of the Mahaprasthanam Crematorium in Telangana.
