Puri: A college student drowned to death while bathing at the Narendra puskarini (pond) here today.
The deceased has been identified as Smruti Ranjan Sahu. He was a student of Bari College in Jajpur district.
According to reports, Smruti Ranjan along with four of his friends from Bari College in Jajpur district had come here on Tuesday to watch Snana Yatra.
While Smruti Ranjan and his friends were taking bath in Narendra puskarini, the former drowned.
He was rushed to the district headquarters hospital here. However, he was declared dead by the attending doctors.
