Puri: The district administration and police have geared up to ensure smooth and incident-free conduct of the Bahuda Yatra, the last leg of Rath Yatra which scheduled to be held on July 20.
Shutdown with curfew has been imposed in Puri town from 8 PM of 19th July to 8 PM of 21st July. Like Ratha Jatra, no one will be allowed to witness the return journey of Holy Trinity from the rooftops, Collector Samarth Verma said.
The police have setup 20 special squads to impose a strict shutdown and curfew. The cops carried out a flag march on Bada Danda and issued strict instructions to hotels commercial institutions to keep shutters down.
The movement of those living in the hotels at the sea beach will be tracked, the police said and appealed people to cooperate.
