Puri: The Puri district administration is mulling to expand the 1.5 km stretch between the Singhadwar of Shree Jagannath Temple and Swargadwar. Collector Samarth Verma said that Loknath Road and Balisahi Road will be expanded under this project.
“We are holding discussions with all stakeholders and carrying out the project with consensus. The roads will be expanded by about 40 feet,” said Verma.
The stretch between Kukudakhai square to Swargadwar on sea beach has small shrines mutts and residential houses. The administration has planned to widen it to 40 feet so that traffic congestion can be eased on that stretch.
