Bhubaneswar: In a pioneering move to enhance security for visitors, the Puri Municipality has launched a digital baggage locker system — the first of its kind in the city’s vibrant tourism sector.
The pilot initiative features smart, self-service lockers installed at two prime beachside locations: one in front of Victoria Hotel along the iconic Puri Sea Beach and another near Digabareni Khunti Chhak. The facility has been developed in partnership with Tuckit, a leading provider of digitally operated short-term locker solutions across India.
This user-friendly system allows tourists to securely store their luggage, bags, helmets, or other belongings while enjoying the beach, temple visits, or local exploration without the hassle of carrying heavy items.

Smaller/medium lockers: Rs 18.88 to Rs 69.62 per hour (depending on size)
Payments are processed digitally, ensuring a seamless, cashless experience. The initiative addresses a long-standing concern for tourists in Puri, where beachgoers often worry about the safety of their belongings while swimming, sightseeing, or participating in rituals at the famous Jagannath Temple and the golden sands of Puri Beach.
