Puri: The Nabajoubana Darshan of Puri’s Holy Trinity – Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra, who are in ‘anasara ghara’ following a ceremonial bath on Debasnana Purnima, will be held on June 19, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) announced here on Thursday.
According to the schedule prepared by the Paramanik Darshan will be held from 8 am to 9 am, while general public darshan will be allowed from 9 am to 11 am.
The SJTA said that 7,000 tickets will be sold for the Paramanik Darshan and the price of each ticket has been fixed at Rs 100.
The SJTA has made elaborate arrangements for the Nabajouban Darshan as a large number of devotees is expected to visit Puri as well as Srimandir on that day. Devotees with tickets will be allowed to enter the temple through Dakshina Swara (South Gate) for Paramanik Darshan.
It is worth mentioning here that following the Snana Jatra of Lord Jagannath and His siblings Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra held on June 4, the deities have been kept away from public view for 15 days (Anasara period). According to popular belief, after the ritualistic bath during Snana Jatra, the deities develop fever and do not return to the sanctum sanctorum.
Meanwhile, our Jharsuguda correspondent writes that the construction of forks and brakes of the chariots for the Puri Rath Yatra has been completed in Brajrajnagar of the district. The items have been made by Jagu Benya and his colleagues and they have left for Puri with the materials.
