Bhubaneswar: In a bid to ensure a seamless and secure experience for devotees, the state government has begun installing Artificial Intelligence (AI) cameras for the upcoming Rath Yatra festival in Puri.
As millions of devotees from across India and abroad converge on Puri for the iconic Rath Yatra festival, the city’s law enforcement is gearing up to ensure a safe and secure experience for all.
According to Puri Superintendent of Police Vinit Agrawal, AI cameras will play a crucial role in monitoring massive crowds and maintaining law and order, providing real-time surveillance and swift response to any potential incidents. And the process of installing AI cameras on national highways and Badadanda connecting Puri has begun.
The cameras will help identify potential blind spots and traffic congestion areas, enabling the police to take prompt action. Also, the AI cameras will help manage crowds and traffic, providing real-time updates to authorities.
