**Puri:** A day ahead of the holy Snana Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra took stock of the arrangements for smooth functioning of the rituals at Puri Srimandir.
The prime focus of the authorities during the Snana Yatra will be to maintain discipline for smooth conduct of rituals. While the ‘Senapatta’ ritual were completed today, the SJTA along with servitors expedited the process for completion of other rituals.
“I have personally reviewed the arrangements on Snana Bedi which are complete. Though it is raining today and will continue till tomorrow, the rituals will not be affected,” informed Mohapatra.
Traffic arrangements have been put at place for convenience of tourists visiting the temple, said Mohapatra adding, “The tourists arriving in Puri to watch the Snana Yatra and Hati Besha thereafter will enter the temple through Singhdwar and exit through the Northern Gate. The preparations are underway with support of the administration and Palia servitors, without any hindrance.”
Devotees can visit the temple without keeping any doubts in their mind as arrangements have been done for them to have darshan of the deities in a disciplined manner. The Sahana Mela will be conducted after the Hati Besha ritual during which the devotees can have darshan of the deities on the Snana Bedi but will not be allowed to touch them, he added.
