Bhubaneswar: Development Commissioner and stampede probe Committee Chairman Anu Garg has appealed to the public to provide any videos or information related to the tragic incident during the Rath Yatra. Many people captured videos during the tragic event, which can aid in the investigation.
Garg urged devotees to share videos and information via email at puritragedy.inquiry@odisha.gov.in. Alternatively, individuals can provide information in person at the State Guest House in Bhubaneswar or Puri Special Circuit House after 3 pm.
The Planning and Convergence Department issued a public notice, calling for submissions of relevant details by July 20. People can also contact the inquiry team directly through landline numbers 0674-2536882 and 0674-2391970.
The stampede near Gundicha Temple claimed three lives and injured 50 others during the ‘Pahuda’ ritual. The committee has begun investigating and reviewing footage to determine the cause of the incident.
