Puri: Bringing pride to Odisha, Amrit Mahapatra from Puri has secured the 121st rank in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination, achieving his long-cherished dream of joining the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
Amrit had earlier cleared the Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) examination, securing the 46th rank, but his ultimate ambition was to become an IAS officer. Through sustained hard work, discipline, and determination, he has now succeeded in one of the country’s most competitive examinations.
Currently based in New Delhi, Amrit Mahapatra is working at Quantum Hub and has also been actively involved in research in the field of public policy.
Academically, Amrit has maintained an outstanding record throughout his student life. During his college days, he was a topper at BJB College in Bhubaneswar, reflecting his consistent academic excellence.
He comes from a distinguished family. His father, Lalatendu Mahapatra, serves as a Deputy Director in the Information and Public Relations Department, while his mother Sabita Mishra is a homemaker.
Known for his dedication and academic brilliance, Amrit has expressed his desire to work for public welfare and societal development through the civil services.
His achievement has brought immense pride and joy to his family, friends, and the people of Puri, who have congratulated him on his remarkable success.
