Bhubaneswar: The Jagannath Temple in Puri will remain closed for five hours tomorrow in observance of the birth ceremony of Lord Ram.
As a result, devotees will not be allowed darshan of the Sibling Deities from 5 pm to 10 pm tomorrow.
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) issued a notification regarding the closure.
Ram Navami, which celebrates the birth of Lord Ram, will be observed on the ninth day of the bright half of the Chaitra month, starting April 6 (tomorrow).
On this day, the temple will perform the special birth ceremony of Lord Ram, along with other traditional rituals.
As per tradition, the Dutta Mohapatra servitors and Khadiprasad Daitapati servitors will perform the rituals.
