Quack Running Clinic For Over 25 Yrs Arrested In Ganjam

Buguda(Ganjam): Buguda police have arrested a quack who was practising as a medical practitioner at Kalamba village without a proper degree or license to run a clinic.

According to reports, the accused identified as Dilip Biswas was running “Puja Clinic” at Kalamba village chowk under Balipadar police outpost jurisdiction of Baliguda police station in Ganjam district for over 25 years.

The accused, a native of Simurali village under Chakdha police limits of Nadia district in West Bengal was identifying himself as Dr Dilip Biswas for all these years and was popular as “Bangali Dakter”.

Despite Biswas not being a qualified doctor, he was treating patients at “Puja Clinic” run by him.

Suspecting Biswas to be a quack, Officer In Charge (OIC) of Balipadar outpost Shree Pradhan raided “Puja Clinic” and on an investigation, it was found that Biswas was a quack and he neither had a degree to practice medicine nor possessed a license or necessary registration to run a clinic.

A case has been registered against Biswas at the Buguda police station. He has been arrested and forwarded to court.
