**Bhubaneswar:** Question papers of the annual matriculation examinations going viral on social media had no impact on the examination process, said School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra on Thursday.
Addressing mediapersons, Patra said frisking of students is being carried out strictly. Even if somebody out of mischief is taking mobile phone and making the question paper viral during the last part of the examination, how does it affect the examination process, he questioned.
“The question paper is being publicised after end of the examination or submission of OMR sheet. Someone is making it viral after the examination is finished, which is not effecting the examination in any manner,” said Patra.
The minister further said though strict action is being taken against reports of malpractice, CCTV cameras could not be installed this year as the examination is being held in a mass scale. However, he assured of installation of CCTV cameras in every examination centres from next year.
While reports of question papers going viral had surfaced on the first three days of the examination, the Third Language (Sanskrit) paper examination today was conducted in a disciplined manner.
Secretary of Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, Ramashis Hazra said, no untoward incident was reported from any centre. He further asserted that the question papers going viral on social media were just rumours and meanwhile students and guardian have also understood that they are not going to face any issue because of it.
