Bhubaneswar: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to visit Odisha in the second week of July, according to Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Bhakta Charan Das. Gandhi will be accompanied by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, and both leaders will address a public meeting in Bhubaneswar.
The meeting, scheduled to take place after the Bahuda Yatra on July 5, will focus on key issues affecting the state, including rising crimes against women and the recent diarrhoea outbreak. The Congress party’s ‘Sambidhan Bachao Abhiyan’ will also be a major theme of the event.
This will be Rahul Gandhi’s first visit to Odisha as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha after the 2024 elections. The public meeting is expected to draw a large crowd and will provide a platform for the Congress party to highlight its concerns and agenda for the state.
