Bhubaneswar: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Odisha on May 15 to campaign for the party’s candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state.
According to Samarendra Mishra, Congress candidate for the Bolangir Assembly constituency, during his day-long visit to Odisha, Rahul will participate in a bike rally and address a public meeting in Bolangir.
Earlier, Rahul was scheduled to visit the tribal-dominated Rayagada district to address an election rally on May 3 but the visit was cancelled at the last minute as Rahul filed his nomination for the Rae Barelli Lok Sabha constituency on that day. In the evening, he addressed the rally in a virtual mode.
However, the senior Congress leader earlier addressed a first public meeting in the Salepur Assembly constituency in Cuttack district.
