Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert for 13 Odisha districts, warning of light to moderate rain or thunderstorms with lightning in the next three hours.
According to the IMD, the alert is effective for the next three hours from 1:15 pm, today.
The districts under yellow warning include Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Nuapada, Boudh, Puri, and Mayurbhanj. Residents in these areas are advised to be cautious and prepared for worsening weather conditions.
Also, people are urged to seek shelter in safe locations to protect themselves from potential harm during lightning.
