Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted light to moderate rain and thundershower with lightning in twin city Cuttack and Bhubaneswar and several other places across Odisha in three hours.
The downpour is very likely to affect some parts of Angul, Keonjhar, Balasore, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Rayagada, Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Bhadrak, Puri, Kalahandi, Khorda, Kandhamal And Mayurbhanj, weather agency stated.
People have been advised to take shelter in safer place to protect themselves from lightning strike.
