Bhubaneswar: The weather forecast made by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) this afternoon hints at rain and thundershower in the districts of south Odisha in the next 24 hours.
Briefing media, IMD Bhubaneswar Director H.R. Biswas said, “So far the weather forecast for next 24 hours is concerned, south Odisha districts like Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nawarangpur, etc are likely to have thundershower and rainfall. Heavy rainfall is also expected mainly in the areas of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada and Gajapati.”
He added, “Tomorrow and day after tomorrow, the rainfall activity may lessen. On Spetember 27 and 28, amount of rainfall will be less. But on 29 and 30, thundershower activity may increase in coastal and south Odisha. Thunder and lighting warning is there.”
The Met Director also stated, “So far Cuttack and Bhubaneswar cities are concerned and also in some other city areas, there will be cloudy sky with light rain in some areas.”
“The current status of monsoon states that condition is favourbale for withdrawal from Rajasthan by September 28,” the weatherman claimed.
