Bhubaneswar: The cyclonic circulation over Westcentral Bay of Bengal adjoining north Andhra Pradesh coast now lies over North & adjoining Central Bay of Bengal between 1.5 & 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height, according to the midday weather bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD’s) here today.
Under the impact of the system, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha with heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places during the next five days, the IMD has said.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Coastal Odisha Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, and at many places over the rest districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours.
Besides, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangapur, Rayagada, Kandhamal, and Mayurbhanj during the next 24 hours.
The IMD has issued a ‘Yellow Warning’ for the aforementioned districts.
In its forecast for Bhubaneswar and neighbourhood for the next 24 hours, the agency has predicted that the sky will be generally cloudy with one or two spells of rain or thundershower with the maximum and minimum is very likely to be around 32°C and 26°C respectively.
