Bhubaneswar: Moderate rain/thundershowers with one or two intense spells of rain are likely to affect some districts of Cuttack (Cuttack City), Khorda (Bhubaneswar City), Sonepur, and Nayagarh within the next three hours.
The regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday alerted that water logging in low-lying areas; occasional poor visibility and traffic disruption in urban areas are likely. It has advised people to avoid movement in affected areas and make arrangements for drainage of excess water.
Light to moderate rain/thundershowers with lightning are also likely to affect some parts of the districts of Bolangir, Nuapada, and Boudh, within the next three hours.
People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strikes.
