Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued a yellow warning for light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms in several districts of the state under the influence of a cyclonic circulation above north Odisha for the next seven days. At the same time, it has forecast a gradual fall in day temperature by 3°C to 5°C over the next four days.

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at one or two places in coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Nuapada, Boudh, Sonepur, Sundargarh and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Nawarangpur, and Kalahandi.
