Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours.
Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Khurda, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Koraput and also hailstorm is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Mayurbhanj during the next 24 hours the IMD has said and issued a ‘yellow’ warning for these districts.
In its forecast for Capital City Bhubaneswar and its neighbourhood, the IMD has said that rain or thundershower would occur towards the afternoon/evening during the next 24 hours. Maximum and Minimum temperature is very likely to be around 37°C and 26°C respectively.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.04.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 29.04.2023)
Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of South interior Odisha and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha.
ORANGE WARNING:-(BE PREPARED) Thunderstorm with lightning, hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, also Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal.
YELLOW WARNING:-(BE UPDATED) Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Boudh, Angul, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 30.04.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 01.05.2023)
Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Interior Odisha and at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha.
YELLOW WARNING:-(BE UPDATED) 1. Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Bhadrak, Balasore. 2. Also HAILSTORM and Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Bolangir.

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha.
YELLOW WARNING:-(BE UPDATED) Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati.
The IMD has further said that there will be no large change in Maximum temperature (Day temperature) over the districts of Odisha during the next 4-5 days.
