Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning with a forecast of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds for 11 districts during the next 24 hours.
According to the IMD, light to moderate rain or thunderstorm very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.
Similarly, thunderstorm with lightening and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, and Angul.
Thunderstorm with lightening is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Bhadrak, Kandhamal, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Cuttack and Nayagarh.
Odisha will not witness any major change in day temperatures over the next four days. However, temperature will rise thereafter by 2 to 3 degrees, the IMD further stated.
