Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today reviewed the heavy rain and flash flood situation in Bolangir, Kalahandi, Boudh, Subarnapur and Kandhamal districts at the Lok Seva Bhavan (State Secretariat) here.
The Chief Minister interacted with the concerned Collectors through video conference and enquired about their requirements.
Besides, the Chief Minister was also informed that more than 10 lakh cusec water will be flowing into Mahanadi on August 15 morning.
Hence, the Collectors of Khurdha, Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh and Kendrapara districts have been alerted and advised to strengthen river bank patrolling, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) sources said.
Further, the Chief Minister has announced seven days gratuitous relief for the affected people of the districts of Kalahandi, Boudh, Kandhamal, Sonepur and Balangir at Rs 60 per adult per day and Rs 45 per child per day.
