Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan flagged off Bhubaneswar-New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express from Bhubaneswar Railway station today. The train will have a new look as its exteriors will now showcase culture, art and heritage of Odisha. He was accompanied by Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi.
Additionally, the Union Minister also launched station names in unreserved ticket in Odia. This facility will now be available across 317 stations of the State.
Sponsored by NALCO, the theme of archaeological monuments, flora and fauna and dance forms of Odisha in Pattachitra form is put on vinyl wrapping sheets. The sheets drape the exterior of Rajdhani Express.
The East Coast Railway has three sets of train rakes of Rajdhani Express. Each rake will consist of about 15 coaches. The designs are placed between the glass windows of the coach and are expected to promote Odisha tourism at a national level.
