Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government appointed Rajesh Pravakar Patil as the new Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday.
According to the circular issued by the General Administration Department, incumbent Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange has been replaced by 2005 batch IAS, Rajesh Pravakar Patil.
“Rajesh Pravakar Patil is hereby posted as Commissioner Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation. Patil is allowed to remain in additional charge of Commissioner cum Secretary to Government, Co-operation Department and Special Secretary Housing & Urban Development Department, Bhubaneswar,” read the official circular.
The 2005-batch IAS Officer is currently serving as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary at the Co-operation Department. Also, he has additional charge of Special Secretary at the Housing & Urban Development Department.
It is learnt that the 2013-batch IAS Officer Vijay Amruta Kulange, is on leave for one month and will be posted after his return from leave.
