Rajnath Singh Tours Odisha, Targets Congress For Demanding Evidence On Balakot Air Strikes

Mayurbhanj/Cuttack: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today toured Odisha as a part of his election campaign. Singh addressed rallies and public meetings in Mayurbhanj and Cuttack districts which are going to polls in the third phase on April 29 and 23 respectively.

Singh said that Congress was jeopardising matters of national security by demanding for evidence of the outcome of Balakot air strikes by the Indian Air Force. “The BJP-led government has been able to effectively isolate Pakistan for sheltering terror elements.”

Addressing the ‘Vijay Sankalp’ rally in Karanjia, Singh said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee had congratulated and credited Indira Gandhi for the success in 1971, India-Pakistan war. “Then what is wrong in acknowledging Modi Ji’s commitment towards a befitting response to Pakistan post Pulwama attack? He deserves credit,” the Union Minister added.

Singh criticised Congress-led UPA for not taking action against Pakistan after the 2008 Mumbai attacks. “Now we are a strong nation under Modi Ji’s leadership. We do not attack anyone but if someone attacks us, we do not spare him,” Singh added.

Singh urged the people to vote for BJP to ensure speedy development and pull Odisha out of poverty. Among others, BJP Lok Sabha and Assembly candidates Ananta Nayak and Padma Charan Haibu participated in the rally.
